Some Exciting News

Children in Butterfly Park (Spring 2017)

Happy Spring! The board of directors of Fellowship House have had a busy start to 2017 and are excited to share our good news with you. As many of you know, Doug Wagner announced late last year that he would be stepping down as Executive Director to start his retirement. After an exhaustive executive recruitment search, we are very pleased to announce that Richelle Todd-Yamoah has accepted the position of Executive Director for Fellowship House.

Richelle has her Masters in Public Administration from Rutgers Camden and has spent fifteen years working for the American Friends Service Committee in Philadelphia, most recently as Director of Program Support. Early in Richelle’s career she was a volunteer for the Peace Corps stationed in a rural village of West Africa and was responsible for creating strategies to combat water related diseases and illnesses. She currently lives in South Jersey with her husband and two children, where they are both active members and volunteers in their church. Richelle is very excited to be a part of the Fellowship House family when she starts April 3rd.

Wait! Our exciting news continues! Last month we hired a part time Assistant Program Director for Youth, Chuck Banks, who has started our weekly Youth Group for kids in grades 5th-8th. The new youth program provides this vulnerable age group a safe and loving place to be every week - away from the drama and dangers of the streets, and mentors them to become respectful, kind, confident and successful young men and woman.

Lastly, please join us Thursday, May 4th at Pennsauken Country Club for an evening of Celebration and Gratitude as we honor our Fellowship House Heroes - volunteers, donors and community partners who have steadfastly supported this ground roots non-profit organization including The Cheney Award of Excellence: Sandmeyer Steel Company, The Sayre Award of Faith: First United Methodist Church of Collingswood, and The Casperson Award of Service: Judith Risser and Evelyn Cannon. You can also congratulate Doug on his retirement and say “hello” to Richelle Todd-Yamoah.

We are Blessed because of YOUR generous support of Fellowship House that allows us to carry out our mission to bring the children of South Camden and their families into fellowship with God and with God’s community, by providing opportunities for spiritual, academic, social and recreational enrichment. We look forward to seeing you on May 4th and thank you for all you do!

Best Regards,
