Volunteers Needed for Our After School Program

Volunteers Needed for Our After School Program

Written by Lisa Burne | Children's Program Director

Around 45 children in 1st - 4th grade attend our after-school program Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. They live in one of the poorest areas in our country. They live in a “forgotten neighborhood”. South Camden is home to so many wonderful children, but it is also home to poverty and brokenness. Many of these children will not be able to read properly when they go on to middle school, many will not graduate high school, many will come to feel they have no hope for their future.

This is where you come in. By giving just an hour or two of your time, you can be the difference a child needs. The more people who will spend a little time with the children, to help them understand their homework and learn how to read, the more children will have a hope-filled future.

See the needs below and contact our Children’s Program Director, Lisa Burne at lburne@fellowshiphousecamden.org TODAY.
