The City of Camden is the poorest city in the country, with only a 49% high school graduation rate. Children growing up in this environment face many challenges. We believe that is it critical to come alongside families to provide a safe place for children to grow academically, socially, and spiritually. God cares about their today and their tomorrow!
The After School Program and Summer Programs are run by committed staff members who have served in this area for many years, and numerous volunteers. Thanks to the generous donations of individuals, churches, and organizations, we can provide free programs to any family in need from South Camden.
During the school year, children from grades 1st-4th attend the daily "Camp Peace" After School Program. The program is a fun and safe place for children to learn more about God, to complete their homework, to play in a safe environment, and to participate in various activities and trips. Teens from the local area are hired through Fellowship House’s Youth Program to lead groups of children during snack, homework, activity, and Bible time. We also partner with the Interact Club from Haddonfield and Haddon Township and various churches.
