VOLUNTEER
Our volunteers are important and together we accomplish great things. See the opportunities below and you too can join us in making a difference in the City of Camden today.
If you are interested in becoming a Fellowship House Volunteer you must complete the following:
- Fill out our volunteer forms (online application coming soon)
- Background check, submitted with $17 check made payable to "Fellowship House of South Camden" or provide us with a background check that was performed within the last year.
Please note: Volunteers must be ages 16 or older to volunteer. Minors 14 or older can volunteer with a parent or adult guardian.

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
Who: Teens, Adults, or Groups
What: Volunteers needed for various aspects during the times below; see Program Schedule for additional information
When: Monday - Wednesday 2.:30 PM - 5:00 PM & Thursday 2:30 PM - 5:30 PM
READING ENRICHMENT PROGRAM
Who:
- Certified teachers--preferably elementary or special education
- Teachers with experience teaching reading
- Other types of teaching experience may be considered--for example homeschoolers, librarians, or those teaching at a higher level
What: Early elementary school (1st-4th) children are in need of one-on-one tutoring to develop their reading skills and to learn to love reading!
When: First 3 Fridays of the month, from October through May; 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Workgroups
There are a number of groups that travel to Camden to spend time working with us. We expose each group to the many aspects of our ministry.

Visiting groups of college students, church groups, organizations or companies from out of town often volunteer to assist in all aspects of the After School Program or Summer Program. They also volunteer to do physical work such as cleaning the facilities, painting rooms, or doing minor repair work.
For one day we ask that you look at our wish list to see if there are items you would like to donate.
For a weekend the cost is $90.00 per person to cover our administrative and facility costs.
For a week the cost is $125.00 per person to cover our administrative and facility costs.

Fellowship House relies largely on individuals, churches, organizations, foundations, and businesses to support our programs and operations. By donating one of these "Wish List" items– you enable us to focus the majority of our finances towards programming cost. Please consider one of these in kind gift as an alternative way to give.
