Welcome to Fellowship House, located on South Broadway in Camden, New Jersey. Fellowship House is an approved non-profit 501(c) non-profit Christian organization, lifting up Christ and ministering to the needs of the people in the heart of Camden, New Jersey. A refuge for weary neighbors and a lifeline in one of the most distressed areas of Camden, it has served the community for over 40 years. The neighborhood has its center at the intersection of South Broadway and Ferry Avenue. Our physical location in the middle of the block extending from 1722-1726 South Broadway connects with adjacent lots on Fillmore Street. There is a large population with many children. Drug and alcohol addiction define the culture. Many homeless persons, forced from the center city, move down Broadway to find shelter here in abandoned houses and cars.

Neighborhood churches and Fellowship House have for many years been places of hope for their neighbors, providing every kind of human service.

The double house on Broadway, with the paved lot for parking, holds chapel, meeting rooms, and offices. The Campbell Learning Center is above the offices. A very spacious kitchen connects the houses to a large warehouse now converted for gymnasium and dining hall use. The gym opens out to Rotary Park, a grass-covered area for play and outdoor gatherings.

Core Convictions

Inner-city problems are rooted in moral and spiritual needs that cannot be met by secular agencies but by religous teaching. Poverty creates survival needs -- hunger, clothing, addictions, homelessness -- that GOD calls us to provide. (Matthew 25:31-40.) The communities of faith in the city and suburbs must join as the responsible and powerful channel of God's love. Many business and government leaders are part of the faith community, along with churches and foundations.
